Two of our patients, Mario Bencivenga and Kevin Buser, made the local news with their solar cars!

                                            

We all have the power to change the world!

 Our patient, OLIVIA BOULER, utilized her art to single-handedly raise more than $150,000 via the Audobon's Gulf Oil Spill recovery efforts to help wildlife impacted by the oil spill!

Now, she has written a book about her beloved birds and she even signed our copy!         

  

Our patient, Jen Corey, was Miss District of Columbia during 2009 and one of the 10 finalists in the Miss America pageant this past January, 2010.

We are so proud of Jen and her beautiful smile!

Here is Ashley Vrana's bio from the show:

Ashley has been in love with singing since she was 5 years old and first stepped onto a stage to perform.  She started off in her church's talent shows and eventually performed in the Angel's Choir at her church.  She then started taking voice lesson's privately in the 4th grade.  She was chosen for her elementary schools plays and eventually received her first lead role, Lady Thaing in her middle schools play, The king and I.  The following year she was chosen to play Christine from Phantom of the Opera in her middle schools play Lights on Broadway.   

Ashley has since then acted and sang in several local theaters.  The most recent one was in the Music Man at Star Playhouse in Commack.  Past credits include Carousel (Sara James), The King and I (Lady Thaing), Cinderella, Bye Bye Birdie, and The music Man.

Ashley's dream is to perform someday in her high schools group Vocal Motion and also perform in a play on Broadway.  She plans to pursue music as a career.  She has been chosen for all county chorus for the past 4 years!  When she is not singing, she plays soccer for her high school team and her travel team.  Ashley loves all types of music, but her favorite is opera.

James and Jonathan Olsen recently came back from  Australia.  They had a chance to play with kangaroos, and sent us two pictures!

on his Physics Regents! One of the highest scores in Bayshore High School!!

 

Congratulations to Andrew Busweiler!!  Andrew  is a member of

Ny State championship lacrosse team from West Islip High School.  They won

The championship 7-6 against West Genny High School.  GO LIONS!!

 

Congratulations to Taylor Gonzalez !!  Taylor recieved an

award for the most improved bowler on his East Islip bowling league!! Way to

go Taylor!
