Congratulations to Dr. Abraham who

completed the final step of Board Certification by

passing her exam in Texas this past February!  We are very proud

of her acheivement.  Board Certified Orthodontists have the

knowledge, skills and clinical expertise necessary to provide the

highest quality of patient care.  Because Board Certification is an

elective process, it further demonstrates a doctor's dedication

to his or her field.  Nationally, only 1/3 of the orthodonists in the

United States are certified by the American Board of

Dental Health Month!!!!!!!

February is National Childrens Dental Health Month.  Our Hygienist Lori

organized a wonderful presentation for all of our local elementary schools!

Lori, along with  our two dental assistants Lauren and Maxine taught the

children about the importance of dental health, such as brushing, flossing,

and eating healthy!   All of the children received goody bags to take home

with them!! The response of how wonderful this presentation was has us

very excited to do it again next year!! This year we also visited the Bayshore

YMCA!! The children were so excited to have us as guests!!!

 

 

 

West Islip Orthodontics supports the

Girl Scout Troops of Suffolk County!

 

 We help the girls to earn their health badge by teaching them good oral hygiene.

As most of you know, Dr. Tichler is a musician.  Believe it or not, the black and white picture below includes Dr. Tichler.  Which one do you think he is? (We think he is the cutest one on the right.)  The second from the left is a famous rock and roll singer.  His name is Neil Sedaka.  You may have seen him on American Idol last season as one of the judges.  Dr. Tichler sang on one of Neil Sedaka's hit records, "The Diary".  When you come in, ask Dr. Tichler to play it for you. (He can even make you a copy.)  The four guys in the color picture below are the same four as above.  It was taken at a birthday party for Dr. Tichler.  As you may have noticed, they have a little less hair, but Dr. Tichler is still the cutest one!
