Alison - Front Desk Staff
Alison is part of our front desk staff and has been working for Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham since January of 1999. Alison is happily married to John and has two wonderful boys, Robert, who graduated from Manhattan College, and Andrew, who attends West Islip High School. Believe it or not, Alison and Andrew both wore braces at the same time and love to flash their beautiful smiles!
Anne - Front Desk Staff
Anne became acquainted with Dr. Tichler as a patient in the early 1980’s, and then again with her two daughters in the 1990’s. She liked the office so much she joined the staff in 1995. Anne’s daughter Alline is a graduate student at SUNY Albany, and Liz is an undergrad at SUNY New Paltz. Anne and her husband Jim enjoy boating and tennis.
Mary - Front Desk Staff
Born and raised on Long Island, Mary now lives in Pennsylvania with her wonderful husband Jimmy and her children, Patrick, Ryan and Emilee . Mary loves working for Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham so much, she makes the long trip to work an occasional Saturday at the front desk.
Cathy - Insurance Secretary
Cathy has been in the orthodontic field for 30 years. She is from a little town outside Hartford, CT. She began working for an orthodontist as a dental assistant. When she was married she moved to Long Island and was fortunate enough to get a job in Dr. Tichler’s office. Cathy has two sons whose treatment we have completed. In her spare time, Cathy loves to ski and travel.
Debbie - Dental Assistant
Debbie is the most recent addition to our office. She has been an orthodontic assistant for 4 1/2 years. We are happy that Debbie has decided to join our team. She especially enjoys working with children and making them feel comfortable. Recently Debbie married her long time love Tom, live on the 95.5 PLJ radio morning show! Debbie has a four year old daughter, Haley and a six month old son Michael Thomas. When she is not working, she likes to spend quality time with her family.
Lori - Registered Dental Hygienist & Contest Coordinator
Lori has worked for Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham since the summer of 2000. Lori started in the office as a dental assistant and went on to graduate from SUNY Farmingdale with a degree in dental hygiene. She loves being a part of Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham’s staff, and could not ask for a better office! Lori adores working one and one with her patients. Married to the man of her dreams in July 2003, Lori now lives in Selden with her husband Ryan . They welcomed their first child, John James on September 8, 2005! She enjoys spending spare time with family and friends.
Kerry - Registered Dental Hygienist
Kerry grew up in Merrick, and now lives in Massapequa. She joined our staff in October of 2001. Kerry attended SUNY Farmingdale’s Dental Hygiene program and graduated in May of 2001. She enjoys orthodontics and has been in the field for ten years now! Kerry loves working hands-on with the patients on a daily basis. Kerry enjoys spending time with family, friends, and especially her goddaughter.
Deborah - Certified Dental Assistant
Debi signed on board with Dr. Tichler in 1987. She is the mother of two beautiful daughters. Kristen who attends Adelphi University, and Eryka who is a teacher. Debi and her husband Mike live happily in Amityville. She in addition, has two wonderful stepdaughters, Lisa and Michele. She has seen many changes in the orthodontic world, but one thing that did not change is her love of working with the children and the doctors. Working with Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham has been and still is a pleasure for Debi. She says, “We are like one big family sharing everything that happens in our lives together. When Dr. Abraham had little Isabella and Luke, they became part of our family too.”
Mary joined our staff in November of 1998. She and her husband Tom have two wonderful boys, Taylor and Thomas. Mary has a B.A. in Psychology from St. Michael’s College in Vermont. When her children are older, she plans on earning her master’s degree. When she is away from the office, she enjoys gardening, scrap-booking, reading, and cross-stitching.
Chris - Front Desk Staff
Chris joined our group in November 2004. She and her husband John have two boys, Devin and Kyle who attend West Islip schools and enjoy playing lacrosse. Kyle will soon be flashing his new smile and showing off Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham's handiwork. The family likes to spend her free time skiing, hiking, camping and generally being outdoors. Chris is also a monthly columnist for Great South Bay magazine.
Lauren - Lab Assistant
Lauren began working at our office in May 2004. She lives with her family in West Islip where she has been a resident for the past 21 years. She is a graduate of West Islip High School and is currently attending SUNY Farmingdale . Since becoming a staff member, Lauren has taken in interest in dental hygiene. Lauren hopes to enroll in the dental hygiene program at SUNY Farmingdale in the near future.
Liz - Front Desk Staff
Liz joined the staff in October of 2004. Her three children, Chris, Elizabeth and Tori are all perfecting their smiles here at the office. Liz, her husband, Barry, and their children reside in Brightwaters and have lived there for the past 16 years. The family enjoy skiing, boating and other outdoor activities.
Maxine - Lab Assistant
Maxine began working for Dr. Tichler and Dr. Abraham in March 2005. She is a graduate of West Islip High School, class of 1996. She now attends St. Josephs college and is starting her path towards becoming an Orthodontist! She one day plans to transfer to Stony Brook University to enroll in their dental program.
